Scot JCB Group are looking for a Yard Person to join our team in Glasgow. This role will involve working across our three Glasgow sites, Scot JCB, SIA and SPS.

As this role involves working in the yard this is a great job for someone who love to be outdoors. Full uniform and PPE is provided.

This is a full-time role based on a 39-hour week Monday to Friday with a requirement to work overtime and Saturday mornings as and when required.

We sold our first machine in 1956 and have grown into a highly specialised machinery distribution company operating through a network of 17 depots from Fraserburgh in the North East of Scotland to Carnforth in Lancashire. Scot JCB is the largest JCB distributor in the UK and we pride ourselves on providing our customers with world class service.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• 
  Working closely with the Service Supervisor
• 
  Inspecting new and used machines when they arrive in the yard, collating all relevant paperwork
• 
  Washing and preparing used machines for sale or auction
• 
  Unloading machine deliveries e.g. compressors and generators
• 
  Removing names from machines
• 
  Valeting machines when required
• 
  Assisting with general depot maintenance
• 
  Keeping the yard and workshop tidy
• 
  Complying with Health and Safety
