Our Building operating unit is looking to add an Assistant Planner to our team in Gloucester, to provide assistance in undertaking planning services across a major MOD project. This includes the production and development of both short- and long-term programmes, the monitoring of such programmes and input towards project-wide reporting. This role will be site based.
This is a key role which contribute towards the production of phase sequence plans, logistics plans and method statements across all site activities including the assistance in communicating such plans across management and trade contractor environments.
You will:
- Contribute to the overall planning process, maintaining a proactive and professional service to the planning and project-wide teams working to the guidelines of the planning and programming strategic plan.
- Assist the management team in preparation of method statements to meet the needs of the project.
- Contribute towards the delivery, maintenance and communication of all associated programmes as required by the project planning and programming strategic plan - Including Design, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Handover Programmes.
- Develop use of 4D Planning software and techniques
- Contribute towards the management of Early Warning Notices and requests for Extensions of Time.
We're looking for:
- Experience on major projects and different forms of construction and types of Contracts (incl. NEC)
- Experience in MOD Projects would be an advantage
- Good working knowledge of Planning Software (Asta PowerProject / Primavera
- HNC/Degree qualification in a construction related subject or trade qualifications
- Member of professional institution (MCIOB) would be desirable
