Band 5 Paralegal - Trust HQ Job at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust
Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust Birmingham
Are you interested in a role in which no two days are the same? With a wide variety of different types of work, our paralegal roles offer a real challenge. We undertake Inquests, employment tribunal, personal injury, clinical negligence as well as occasional county court or court of protection work. As a paralegal you will assist with the more complex cases as well as working on your own cases.
As a paralegal within the team, you'll be at the forefront of everything legal that we do and have a positive impact across the Trust and when engaging with key stakeholders. Day-to-day, you'll run a mixed case load of Clinical Negligence files along with some inquests, claims and general advice matters. You will support the team to provide timely advice on legal matters to staff across the Trust. Work will cover a range of things including any issues that arise on inquest and claims matters and any general advice queries which often touch upon consent, safeguarding, behavioural issues, and medical treatment decisions.
In return for an interesting role, in a small close knit team in the corporate centre, we ask that you have a law degree or Part 1 ILEX. In addition, we will provide training, support and agenda for change terms and conditions of employment.
