Bookkeeper Job at Larking Gowen
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join us in our rapidly expanding Digital Processing Team, looking after outsourcing requirements for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
The Digital Processing Team works across our offices in Norwich, Diss and Ipswich. While the role will primarily be based in Norwich, our flexible working policy allows a combination of working from home or other offices to best suit the individual and support the team.
The successful candidate must have substantial bookkeeping experience and will work closely with our team and clients, assisting with regular bookkeeping tasks, the preparation and submission of VAT returns, and the preparation of management accounts on a monthly basis. You will have direct contact with the clients who you are completing the work for and will act as their point of contact for any accounting queries they have.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience in Bookkeeping
- Experience in digital processing via Xero and QBO
- Five GCSEs including grade A in mathematics
- Ideally 3 A levels or equivalent
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service to clients
- Self-motivated and ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Ability to process invoices through Dext Prepare
- Bank reconciliations
- Xero and QBO certifications
- General VAT knowledge
- Experience in software training
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to apply to study the AAT qualification once passed the probation period.
