Catering Assistant (Part-Time, Permanent)

Salary Point N2/Scale Point 2

Working Pattern: 22.5 hours per week, Term Time + 10 days

(Required from January 2023)


FTE Salary:
£20,441 increased to £21,029 with the Living Wage

Actual Salary: £10,900 (Hourly rate of £10.60 increased to £10.90 with the Living Wage)


This post attracts the Newcastle Living Wage supplement. In addition to the hourly rate, this post will receive the Newcastle Living Wage supplement to bring the hourly rate up to a minimum of £10.90 an hour.

We are looking to appoint a Catering Assistant to add to the existing team at St Benet Biscop Catholic Academy. This is a fantastic opportunity and we are looking for reliable people who will assist in the provision of an effective and efficient catering service; supporting the catering team to provide a high quality of service to students and staff.

St Benet Biscop is a popular and oversubscribed school which is highly regarded within the community and we offer high quality education in a Catholic Christian environment. St Benet Biscop is part of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust. The post holder will be based at St Benet Biscop Catholic Academy, Bedlington but may be expected to attend other sites when required.
