We currently have a rare opportunity for a fully qualified and experienced counsellor to join Walsall College on a permanent basis.

Working within our Student Experience Team, you will provide counselling services to students and will also support policy developments for both safeguarding and counselling.

Picking up safeguarding cases as required, you will be expected to deliver a range of workshops with a preventative focus to enhance emotional wellbeing, increase self-esteem and support the tutorial process.

We are looking for someone who is able to use a wide range of counselling techniques/models (including behavioural therapy) and has experience of providing a counselling service to a wide range of clients from all backgrounds and ethnic groups (including 16 – 19s).

With experience of making safeguarding referrals to relevant agencies, it is desirable that you have experience of working within an educational setting.
