A company specialising mainly within the water and waste industry who design, manufacture and commission bespoke engineering and fabrication projects on mainly waste and water treatment works.

Responsibilities

This is a varied role and would suit someone who enjoys a challenge, to take up a role with responsibility in this small and growing company.

This position is to complete various metal and fabrication design projects of pipework, beams, platforms, staircases, ladders etc. for production to manufacture and commission in the waste and water treatment sites across UK.

Although this is a site based role, you will have opportunities to visit some sites (not frequent) when and if required to help you on projects, to survey and get an understanding of the client requirements etc. This is to help you in your career and to meet the client.

The role will be using both AutoCAD (2D) and Inventor (3D).

The hiring manager requires the person to have AutoCAD 2D experience and is open to the software for 3D. The person needs to have experience of both 2D and 3D, and it’s not a problem if you are biased and more confident in one more than the other. Just need to have used both in some form or another.

Requirements

Experience of design work in 2D & 3D – any software considered such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks etc.

Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in design / draught work

Experience of a similar environment preferred; waste, water, fabrication, structural, metal work etc.

Well organised who can prioritise their time and deadlines

Great communication skills to be able to talk with Clients, Project Managers, Production Staff etc.

Willingness to learn and develop
