Central Business Services (CBS) was created in December 2020 as Deloitte UK’s internal, enterprise-wide shared services organisation. The vision for CBS is to drive customer-centric and efficient delivery of business services to our firm, enabled by end-to-end ownership of key processes and the application of consistent technology. CBS is expected to grow in size and scope of services as it enables delivery of the Deloitte ambition.
HR Services is one of the sub-functions within CBS with a headcount of circa 310, 120 of whom are based in the UK and 190 of whom are based in Hyderabad, India.
The Head of Operations is a newly created leadership role, required to lead on all operational activities across HR Services. Reporting into the Head of HR Services, you will oversee the operational performance of services detailed within the service catalogue, with a specific focus on service transformation, financial management and operational delivery.

- Lead effective oversight of operational performance activities and bespoke projects, ensuring ‘path to green’ plans are in place to address issues and escalations raised.
- Responsible for delivery of initiatives arising from MTO planning and accountable for costs, benefits, people, communication and pipeline.
- Provide subject matter expertise around initiatives, designed at continuously improving the quality of service provided by the HR Services function.
- Responsible for talent management and retention strategies.
- Ensure that we continue to evolve and improve our KPIs and SLAs in line with service transformation and customer journeys.
- Oversees and ensures that all communication from HR Services is logical, convincing, strategically aligned with goals and drives business success.
- Create a culture of consistent knowledge management and sharing.
- Deputises for the Head of HR Services in key stakeholder meetings.
- Close collaboration across CBS functions and Enabling Functions to deliver joint initiatives.
- Member of the CBS Extended Leadership Team.

- Extensive proven experience in Service Management in a large BPO, outsourced or in-house centralised/shared service HR operation.
- Experience of working with offshore teams in India.
- Background in Human Resources with knowledge of UK legislation.
- Proven track record of delivering operational and process improvements within a shared services environment.
- Proven experience of managing large multimillion budgets.
- Experience of leading transformation programmes, delivering tangible outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience working in a large and complex organisation with international aspects and multiple stakeholders across several service areas.
- Lean or Six Sigma qualification preferred.
- Able to build broad and deep relationships across a diverse network, using a flexible influencing style to gain buy-in and drive impact.
- Makes decisions with confidence based on sophisticated analyses of available information and transforms traditional approaches to solution development and drives business success.
- A strong process and customer mindset, with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, influencing, critical analysis and presentation skills.

We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints.
