Who are Ombudsman Services?

Ombudsman Services provides impartial dispute resolution to consumers and small businesses who haven’t been able to resolve their complaints directly with energy suppliers, communication providers or parking operators.

Our teams help to resolve over 150,000 complaints and appeals each year all at no cost to consumers and this number continues to grow as we work with new suppliers and providers.

As well as providing dispute resolution, we are also committed to helping businesses to improve their service and customer experience by sharing insights and working together to address industry-wide issues.

What will I be doing as a Dispute Resolution Executive?

Our team of Dispute Resolution Executives (DRE’s) are a customer centric team who work with consumers, suppliers and Networks to gain a balanced view of each case and see it through from registration to resolution.

You will use your excellent communication skills to ensure all parties involved in the dispute feel heard and understand the process we go through to investigate these complaints.

Our Dispute Resolution Executives work in a fast paced, target driven environment working where you will be working on several different cases at any one time, but we always ensure you are fully supported in your role by a dedicated team of leaders and coaches who will also support your learning and development journey.

What are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience of working in the energy or communications sector in a customer resolution or complaints environment.

We are looking for great communicators who are happy to listen to our customer’s needs, while also comfortable to use a variety of written and verbal communication channels.

You will be naturally empathetic and great at building relationships, ensuring that complainants and suppliers and providers feel heard and valued.

You will demonstrate sound judgement in making sound decisions and display strong analytical skills with the ability to review large amounts of information in a methodical and timely manner, ensuring decisions are made at pace.

What can we offer you?

The salary range for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum which is dependent on your skills, knowledge, and experience. Once you're onboard you could receive a potential salary of up to £40,000 per annum dependent on your progression.

No weekend working. Our teams work a variety of shifts Monday to Friday working between the hours of 8am and 6pm

Home-Based Working. These roles are permanently based at home although candidates would be expected to attend our office in Warrington when required for training sessions and meetings

Recruitment Process

The closing date for this intake of Dispute Resolution Executives is Tuesday 13th December 2022 at 12pm.
