We are looking for an Events Coordinator to join our growing event team at the Edinburgh Futures Institute.
The Opportunity:
This is a great opportunity to support the development, management and delivery of Edinburgh Futures Institute events. You will have a strong planning and project management focus, a good background in event delivery and be ready to hit the ground running, and help us deliver a wide range of public event that connect the University of Edinburgh with local audiences, staff, students and the wider world! You’ll join a dynamic and friendly team and work in a supportive and learning environment.

Edinburgh Futures Institute is a new part of the University of Edinburgh, which delivers and creates new activity and events, and which values innovation and experiment. We aim to deliver events and experiences that match our values and ambitions.
EFI is part of the College of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences and is a cross-University institute. We work with Schools and departments across the University including Edinburgh Innovations and the other Data Driven Innovation (DDI) Hubs.
We work on a broad range of events, from talks and partner events with business organisations, with corporate-level values of production, to festivals and student-facing activities with high levels of participation, speakers, experience and branding.
It is essential that the post holder recognise and embrace the aims and values of EFI and demonstrates this on a daily basis by delivering effective and professional services.
Given the job purpose and the responsibilities of this post, it is important that the post holder recognises that they will be required to undertake out of hours working and ‘off site’ working.
