General Assistant x 3 POSTS AVAILABLE
Location – Elmwood One, Queens University, Belfast City Centre
Hours of work –
- 7 per week, 3pm - 10pm
- 7 per week, 8am - 3pm
- 10 per week 8am to 6pm
Hourly rate – £9.50
No experience necessary as full training will be provided.
Reactive cleaning all common areas including reception area, stairwells, lifts cars, lift lobbies, toilets, changing rooms/showers, meeting rooms, collaboration areas and a multipurpose hall.
Room setup including the movement of furniture to meet user needs.
Litter pick to the external building including smoking area.
Be able to act as a fire warden. Training will be provided.
Be on call in the event of a spillage or reported issue.
Empty litter bins.
Gangways and passages are to be kept free of obstruction;
Floors are to be kept clear at all times of water, other spilled liquids and tools;
Operate cleaning equipment in a competent and safe manner.
Ensure that goods yard is kept clean and tidy, and equipment stored safely at all times
Assist in the collection of all types of waste both internally and externally
Assist with the cleaning of the outside areas of the building, in particular the regular cleaning of the smoking area
Collect waste materials from site, including emptying of bins into general waste compactors and baling of cardboard, plastic etc.
Dispose of waste into correct receptacles, i.e. hazardous bins, recycling bins, general rubbish bins, confidential bins, compostable bin
Ensure that the goods yard is operated in a safe manner
