We have an opportunity for a number of motivated and innovative individuals to join our Health Improvement Service working within our group weight management programme, Healthy Us.

The roles are flexible with the opportunity to work between 22.5 – 37 hours per week as well as some evening and weekend working.

The team is based in Trowbridge but offers flexibility to work part or full time from home or from Council hubs in Chippenham and Salisbury. You will also be required to work in the community as part of your working week.

As a Health Improvement Coach, you will work as part of our delivery team across our community behaviour change intervention programmes and alongside other coaches to support the delivery and administration of behaviour change interventions as part of the health improvement coach service, and across our community behaviour change intervention programmes.

You will work in partnership across the Council and other partner agencies, to improve the health of our Wiltshire population, and deliver programmes and initiatives to promote positive behaviour change

The role will also require you to work on wider projects and initiatives to improve the health and wellbeing of the Wiltshire population and to help us put public health at the heart of all public services.

Due to the community focus of the role travel across Wiltshire will form part of the job role requirements.

About you

We will look for you to be innovative and motivational with experience of community engagement, programme development, design, and delivery within the community, experience of presenting to audiences and/or a proven record of working with the community to deliver programmes and initiatives to promote positive behaviour change.

You should hold a degree/qualification or equivalent academic ability as well as a good knowledge of different aspects of health improvement and behaviour change interventions.
