This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Integrated Specialist Public Health Nurse (ISPHN) – Health Visitor within the Bridlington team area which covers Bridlington and surrounding villages. The successful applicant will be based in Bridlinton and will be the caseload holder for the 9 months to 11 years age group leading the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme.

We are looking for motivated applicants with initiative and drive to further develop the 0-19 service in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Covering almost 1,000 square miles the East Riding is an exciting place to work and provides a comprehensive service to all children, young people and families including children looked after and FNP. Applicants are required to be committed to providing the best possible service to children, young people and families. They should demonstrate willingness to develop and maintain integrated services. Current SCPHN - HV students are eligible to apply.
  • To undertake the continuing responsibility for the management of the workload of the Integrated Specialist Public Health Nursing Team (-9 months -11years) and the integration of the team into a single integrated Service for all children for whom the service has responsibility.
  • To ensure the effective delivery of care packages to children, young people and their families; and delivering the Healthy Child Programme
  • Responsible for the management of a caseload or client group including compilation of reports and participation in multi-agency safeguarding children procedures
  • Provide leadership within an integrated Public Health Nursing Team including providing day to day supervision (managerial, clinical and safeguarding) of team members and undertake delegated management tasks within the integrated Public Health Nursing Team
  • To offer specialist advice in line with identified specialist areas (eg peri-natal Mental Health, Infant Mental Health)
