Manor Primary School is a large two form entry school in Uckfield. We have a fantastic group of children who come to our school, a large and welcoming staff team and a supportive wider school community. At Manor, "Everyone Matters; Everyone Helps & Everyone Succeeds". Our ethos is one of inclusivity and mutual respect.
We are looking for two Individual Needs Assistants to join our team. One post will be supporting a child in Year 5 and the other will be working with two children in Year 6. Our support staff are an integral part of the teaching team in each year group. We are looking for someone who really enjoys working with children and as part of a team.
Previous experience of this kind of role will be an advantage. You should be someone who enjoys being positive and encouraging children; who is kind, calm and patient; resilient and able to adapt quickly to changing situations. The successful candidate will be someone who is able to take direction from the class teacher and adapt it to the needs of the individual children. You should have good literacy and maths skills. Above all, the successful candidate will really care about making a contribution to the school life of our pupils.
In return you will be working amongst a wide team of friendly and professional colleagues and will benefit from a supported introduction to the post over a period of months. Good quality training will be available. You will have the opportunity to be part of a busy and vibrant school life and to contribute to the learning experience of the children at our school.
If you believe you're the person we're looking for, we would very much like to hear from you.
