The Specsavers Global IT Operations department supports offices, networks and supply chain globally. The live services (over 450 servers) are predominantly operated from UK and Guernsey, development and test services (over 1,500 servers) are operated from Whiteley, with some services based in the Cloud.
The Infrastructure Analyst will suit someone with a real intrest in the infrastructure, this is very much a development role, with training provided. The Infrastructure Analyst is highly specialist role that is primarily responsible for providing technical expertise in delivery and support of services and infrastructure within the Specsavers IT estate. Ideally you’ll have some experience or knowledge of CyberArk.
Your role
Ensure that systems services are provided at an optimum level of cost and delivered according to agreed service levels.
Drive continuous improvement in operations, quality and performance through implementation of best practices which improve the efficiency of the systems services. Assess the suitability of technological advances and 3rd party services to deliver increased efficiencies.
Manage and implement upgrades to existing services.
Manage and update technical documentation. Ensure regular review to comply with required standards.
What you’ll bring
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
Experience of Azure Technologies and Platform.
Strong Active Directory experience and knowledge, including Group Policy.
Experience with Virtualisation technologies, VMware, RHEV or Hyper-V.
