International and Integrations Accountant Job at Advanced
Role Introduction
This role will report into the International & Integrations Controller, and support in all aspects of the financial integration of acquired subsidiaries as well as the oversight of international subsidiaries. This role requires a pro-active accountant with a hands-on working approach who is able to work under pressure and drive results. The ideal candidate has commercial awareness and strategic insights whilst also being willing to get into the detail at a transactional level where needed. The footprint of Advanced spreads across the US, Canada, Australia, Ireland, France, Singapore, India, Vietnam and is likely to grow in the medium term through future acquisition strategies.
What You Will Do
- Support the efficient and effective finance integration of the group’s acquisitions; coordinating with multiple functional teams and driving progress, addressing pain points and issues. This includes:
- Transition of billing and accounts receivable activity into Salesforce;
- Transition of accounts payable and GL activity into OpenAccounts;
- Transition of banking and credit card activity to HSBC;
- Ensuring complete and accurate data sets uploaded;
- Ensure the proper set up of company, customers, suppliers, TB accounts, access and other parameters;
- Retention of historical information for tax and audit support;
- Maintain compliance regarding financial reporting and tax throughout integration;
- Transition ownership, where relevant, of local finance activities to central finance shared service teams.
- Ensure clear and up to date documentation of integration processes, identify and implement process improvements to further streamline the process.
- Coordinate with Regional Financial Controllers to ensure accurate and compliant balance sheet, review of balance sheet reconciliations, preparation of central journals/adjustments relating to international entities.
- Facilitate local financial compliance through third parties/local teams; oversight and monitoring of progress, deadlines and information requests. Liaise with Group Tax and Group Chief Accountant where required. Ensure sufficient processes are in place to meet compliance requirements.
- Manage and consolidate cashflow forecasting process for the international businesses.
- Involvement in other projects as needed.
What You Will Have
- Relevant experience of either software companies or international businesses
- Qualified accountant – at least 2 years PQE
- Ability to communicate complex accounting matters in a clear and concise manner
- Experience of using financial systems and the ability to run reports
- Pro-active, hands-on working approach
- Commercial awareness, having a flexible pragmatic approach
- Ability to interpret and analyse financial data
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate cross functionally with all departments and senior management
