The Role

IT Technician required for a long-established Gibraltar-based company to primarily assist our IT consultant in maintaining the companies Office IT as well as the setups of our numerous Bars and Restaurants.

What You Will Be Doing

• Setting up and configuring hardware and software to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Troubleshooting of hardware and software issues.
• Ensuring electrical safety standards are met.
• Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
• Performing regular system check and updates to ensure a stable and secure IT environment.
• Installing and upgrading anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level.
• Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware.
• Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.
• Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
• Conducting and monitoring regular backup operations.
• Maintaining technical documentation.

What You Will Need to Succeed In This Role

• At least 1-2 years' experience in administering Office IT (Windows Server, Windows 10 and MS Office)
• Adequate computer networking skills
• Setting up and maintaining of LANs
• Setting up and maintaining of WiFi networks
• Basic network routing skills
• Basic network troubleshooting skills
• Logical and methodical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow guidance and established procedures
• Punctuality
• Team player mentality
