Mainframe Project Manager
Location: Remote - UK with occasional office visits

Your role

• To manage end to end the upgrade of various IBM System z mainframe subsystems components including zOS, CICS, DB2, IMS and MQ
• Timeline and resource planning – maintain updated deployment schedule and detailed project plans
• Vendor preparation – Runbook development, go/no-go calls, email communications, vendor stand ups
• Stakeholder management – Inform, convince and collaborate with various business stakeholders to support rapid deployment schedules
• Vendor system deployment and verification testing

About you

• Experience of zOS mainframe upgrades is preferred, especially to zCloud
• Flexibility due to potential weekend and late nights
• Experience dealing with third parties and managing third parties
• Vendor application test planning, test execution and defect management experience
