World Leader in Glucose Monitoring, Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures glucose monitoring systems for use in both home and hospital settings. Our Witney site is positioned at the centre of both Manufacturing Excellence and Innovation in the development and manufacture of our test strip and biosensor products used by patients and healthcare professionals for the day-to-day management of diabetes. Our Operations group is the largest team in the Witney facility, producing high volumes of test strips and biosensors each year to the stringent quality standards demanded by European and US authorities and our internal quality systems.
Within Operations we have an opportunity to lead our Manufacturing Scheduling team. You will be a key part in our drive towards best practice and join us at an exciting time in our Planning Excellence journey. Responsible for the direction and leadership of the scheduling team, you will drive towards best practice integration between departments and the manufacturing plan, working closely with key stakeholders in Operations, Global Supply, and Finance. You will support the monthly Integrated Business Planning process, proposing S&OP scenarios that meet the demand requirements. You will also work closely with the R&D and NPI teams to ensure the smooth transition of new products into standard manufacturing planning processes. Your focus will be to provide strength and integrity to our planning processes, whilst advocating and educating those who interact with the process from end to end. . You will lead and develop the team, and be ultimately accountable for the team’s performance and development, coaching through change and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
To be successful, you will ideally be degree qualified, but the key requirement is a breadth of experience in Manufacturing and Supply Planning processes within a manufacturing environment. Familiarity of S&OP / IBP is preferred, with preference given to those who have worked in a regulated environment.
Equally key to your technical experience is your leadership exposure. You will be a natural people leader, with proven experience of leading through change.
