Role: Production Technician

Rate: £12 - £14 per hour

Location: Cardiff

Permanent Position

I am working exclusively on behalf of my clients who operate within a range of industries and are providers to some of the largest engineering companies worldwide.

The main role of the NDT Technician will be to ensure efficient use of equipment and resources, to provide and maintain effective processing of customer components, without compromise to quality.

Responsibilities:

• General production duties working with a range of metal products, primarily for the aerospace and automotive industries.
• Ensure the careful handling and movement of components throughout process to ensure no damage occurs during production.
• Accurately record and maintain the serialisation of customer components throughout production
• Maintain and reinforce internal quality standards to meet and exceed customer expectations
• The processing of components as instructed, or as per drawing requirement, using various operational techniques
• Responsible for the safe operation and basic maintenance of equipment, as per Company maintenance tracker, ensuring any issues are escalated to the Team Leader.
• Ensure quantities of orders received are checked throughout the production process
• Keep production areas clean and organised at all times
• Use Company MRP software and ensure scanning operations are followed as per the routing

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a Production/Manufacturing role
• Experience working with engineering / visual / technical plans

Candidates with previous experience as a Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Anodising Operative, Paint Sprayer or Assembly operative could be suitable for this role.
