Optalis is the adult social care delivery partner on behalf of Wokingham Borough Council and the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead Council. Optalis is owned and funded by the 2 Councils. Optalis is not a private provider or an employment agency.
The community team concentrate on reviewing ongoing care and longer-term work including safeguarding enquiries. Both social work teams include a range of social care practitioners, senior social care practitioners, social workers and senior social workers to manage the day-to-day work. The teams support adults over 18 years who are living in the community with care and support needs.
We provide personal and practical support to help people lead full and active lives, maintain their independence and dignity, and have choice and control as far as they can to achieve their outcomes.
To deliver Statutory Services to people who meet the eligibility criteria of the Adult and Community Services Directorate, by providing outcome focused assessments, and then facilitate the delivery of those identified services in order to achieve desired outcomes to meet the needs of the adult.
To provide supervision and support to the members of the team to ensure people are achieving excellence in their roles and they are developing their skills and knowledge.
To work flexibly as part of the small management team to ensure the teams are delivering a high standard of service to our residents. You will be able to lead on projects, be proactive, work flexibly and help us to achieve our aim for continuing improvement.
