The Brief: Working as a Registered Nurse to provide excellent care within a Nursing & Residential Home for elderly residents with Dementia & General nursing needs, located in Retford.

Key Details

• Providing Elderly, Nursing, Dementia, Palliative, Residential and Respite Care
• Must have an active NMC Pin and a Nursing Qualification, will consider Adult, Mental Health or Learning Disability trained.
• You will have demonstrable experience in caring for the elderly within a care home.
• Some duties will involve; creating care plans, medication, catheterisation, taking blood, overseeing care staff, leasing with GPs and relatives and promoting independence
• Working hours are full-time or part-time, from 24 hours per week (2 x 12-hour shifts) up to 48 hours per week (4 x 12-hour shifts)
• A changing rota, given 4 weeks in advance and can involve alternate weekends
• Day and Night shift contracts are available
• Shifts are 12 hours; 07:00 - 19:00 and 19:00 - 07:00
• The salary is up to £22.00 per hour - breaks are unpaid

Qualifications

• To be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council and have an active Pin.
• You have a Degree in Adult, Learning Disability or Mental Health Nursing.

Experience

• Must have 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse caring for the elderly.
• A professional attitude with excellent communication and organisational skills
• You will be a Nurse who is passionate about delivering excellent care.
• You will be well-versed in care planning processes and fully familiar with clinical assessment tools.
• You will be keen to develop your leadership skills and clinical knowledge
• Capable of building close relationships with residents and their families and determined to drive continuous improvement.
