A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESERVATIONS AGENT AT THE IMPERIAL HOTEL BLACKPOOL

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Reservations Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following:

• Communicating with guests by telephone and email
• Taking and inputting reservations
• Negotiating rates
• Promoting the hotel services and facilities to our guests at the time of reservation with confidence to increase potential revenue
• Demonstrate sound knowledge of hotel products and services, pricing and policies as well as knowledge of the local area

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

To succeed in the role of Reservations Agent, you will need the following qualities and skills:

• A ‘can-do’ approach to guest interaction and service, to ensure our guest’s needs are catered for.
• The ability to multi-task and prioritise workload, which on occasion may well be under pressure!
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, (although not essential, previous experience of Opera would be a distinct advantage).
• The ability to promote products and services (upsell)
