About the role

Campus Services are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual, to join them as a Security Officer. Security experience is not essential as full training will be provided. Applications are welcome from individuals who are passionate for customer care and possess positive interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict management skills.

The role involves working within one of our four security teams providing a 24/7 safety and security provision. Working across our City, Clifton and Brackenhurst campuses.

You will receive on the job technical training including CCTV, bodycam, Key Tracka and Access Control systems. The ideal candidate will be dynamic and adaptable and will receive training to identify student welfare issues and signpost students to our support services. You will foster and adopt positive relations with student accommodation providers, the building maintenance team, alongside the police services and local PCSO officers.

The role involves a rolling 4 on - 4 off, pattern working two days followed by two nights, covering 07:00 -19:00 and 19:00 - 07:00 hrs. There are overtime opportunities across all rotating teams.

Grade D (£20,092 - £22,847 p.a.) Plus 20% shift allowance, and 5 contractual overtime hours per week.
