Location: Brough, with potential for regular travel. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements

Salary: £45,000 - £52,000 depending on skills and experience

Referral Scheme Bonus: £5000

Grade: E

What you’ll be doing:

• Working within a team of engineers to prototype, test and document process and architectural recommendations for the Tempest programme
• Delivering documented recommendations to agreed standards and maintain quality across the programme
• Ensuring recommendations integrate, and with other parts of the programme, ensuring minimal or no re-works later in the lifecycle
• Investigating and recommending solutions to problems raised during prototyping and testing activities
• Working to timescales, clearly understanding and providing regular feedback of progress and achievement
• Participating in continuous process improvement, and identifying risk and feedback for future guidance and development
• Understanding and complying with company policies on security, IT facilities, operating procedures, absence and attendance, time recording, health and safety and business ethics

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Degree qualified in a relevant or related engineering field, or equivalent relevant experience
• Experience of software development lifecycles across a range of environments (e.g. high integrity airborne software to office based support systems)
• Experience of defining processes using latest, industry standard, approaches

Desirable:

• Domain knowledge of Software Architectures, DevSecOps, and certification processes
• Experience of multi-company and multi-national collaborative programmes
• Experience leading a small team advantageous

The Software Architectures team:

The Software Architectures Team was established in the early 2000s with the prime intention to develop and support Software Infrastructures to support the deployment of high integrity software across a range of computing environments.

Currently the Software Architectures Team are developing software architectures that support multi-core processors and provide a greater level of dynamic behaviour for deployment across a number of platforms. They are also supporting the definition of architectures and software processes for the Tempest programme.
