The period of work spans the next six years with a six-year extension option thereafter. Known as Delivery Vehicle 2 (DV2) and the range of work covers repair, refurbishment and replacement works, covering mechanical, electrical, engineering, civil engineering, construction and maintenance services.

We are now seeking a Site Engineer to manage projects to £250K in value which tend to be short term projects throughout the North of Scotland based from our Inverness Office. If you are a Site Engineer interested in working in the North of Scotland, the opportunities are plentiful.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.
  • Coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities and provide information to operatives and subcontractors.
  • Complete diary sheets along with any photographic evidence as required.
  • Undertake material reconciliations.
  • Ensure all surveying equipment is calibrated.
  • Carry out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings.
  • Produce 2D & 3D site sketches.
  • Assist in maintaining quality records, ensuring all works undertaken in accordance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and maintaining the as-built records.
  • Assist in basic planning, monitoring & programming.
  • Assist in mentoring junior and graduate engineers as required.
  • Control and minimise waste on site.
  • Identify/assist in introducing new process, techniques and innovations on site.
  • Ensure all company property under your control is taken care of and stored securely when not in use

Experience and Qualifications:

  • An industry applicable qualification
  • Heavy civil engineering experience is essential
  • Conversant in setting out and surveying techniques and modern instrumentation.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • CSCS
  • SMSTS
  • First Aid
  • CAD experience
  • Desire to understand and promote the Company purpose, vision, values and culture
  • Trustworthy and ethical approach, exercising discretion where required
  • Organised, structured and professional, with a passion for excellence
  • Flexibility, resilience and the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
  • Commitment to the provision of excellent customer service
  • Experience in a fast paced, national and multi-site business
  • Self-starter who has the ability to prioritise a varied workload and demonstrate good time management to comply with deadlines
