Please note although primarily remote, the ideal candidate will live in Manchester, Nottingham, London or Southampton to allow you to regularly travel to collaborate with the team.


Your purpose

The Social Media Executive supports the wider social and digital marketing teams to provide content and marketing support across all social channels. The role entails assisting with implementation and planning of always on material and local marketing – planning and delivering the content across various format and across various channels.


Your role

  • Planning and implementing monthly always-on content across all social channels and wider online distribution where appropriate, working directly with our social media agency
  • Be a guardian of our brand tone of voice and social media brand guidelines across all social content
  • Working on experiential marketing campaigns, sometimes out of hours if required
  • Submitting and reviewing creative and media briefs where appropriate for social media campaigns, particularly around always on production. Identify and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency, support the process to allow the agency and marketing teams to self-serve where they can.
  • Assist with the integration between PR and social media on key campaigns and always on activity.
  • Liaise with colleagues from our 900 stores to encourage them to join our Colleague Creators Club and supporting them in creating content we can use in our brand channels and their own local social media
  • Create strong relationships with wider agencies including our media and PR agencies,
  • Become a thought leader in social media and share updates & learnings with wider social and marketing team

What you’ll bring

  • Experience of working within an agency environment
  • Experience in PR or Social Media
  • Knowledge of social media channels and activity and appetite to learn
  • Naturally aware of key social media trends
  • Organised, possesses close attention to detail, self-motivated, passion and drive to succeed
  • Ideally skilled at create writing/writing briefs and judging creative and providing feedback
  • Creative thinker and can work with pace and intensity
