The Placement Programme:

We are actively looking for a talented 2nd year university student who is passionate and would like to be our new placement student for a year based at our London office. The placement will be for 12 months. This placement starts in September 2023.

During the 12 month University placement you will have the opportunity to understand how our Forensic department works. This is a great opportunity for individuals who would like to start their professional career at a dynamic and relationship driven firm that is dedicated to helping grow their clients business through innovative solutions and services.

The placement programme will give you the flexibility to learn about Forensics with the long term aspiration to enable you to decide if this is the field you would like to start a graduate career in. At the end of the programme both you and Menzies LLP will decide on whether a place on the Graduate Programme is going to happen. If the decision is made to progress then you will be given a choice of going onto either the Menzies ATT or ACA Graduate Trainee programme.

You are:

• Candidates must be on course to achieve a minimum of a 2:2 degree
• Minimum 2 A-Level passes at grade A-C and one other
• 5 GCSEs grades A*- C or 9-4 (Maths and English Language preferred) or equivalent.
• Good numeracy and literary skills
• Ability to demonstrate good verbal and written communication
• Willingness to learn and ability to be flexible
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Ability to maintain work-life-study balance to meet required deadlines
• Willingness to contribute as part of a team
• All candidates will be required to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the UK for the duration of the training contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Using the firm’s established internal systems to produce documents for review
• To deal with correspondence (both written correspondence and telephone calls) in a timely and professional manner.
• To collate information and assist in the preparation of reports.
• Undertaking financial analytical work on cases
• To take ownership and manage their own workload.
• To keep line managers appraised on progress.
• To assist and support other members of the team as required.
• To take an active part in the firm and be a part of its "work winning team" ethos.
