Salary: S5 Grade From: £26,451 to £27,808 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £30,095 per annum inclusive of London Weighting.
The College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences is seeking to appoint five Student Programmes Administrators to join our Taught Programmes Office (TPO), which oversees the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes delivered by the Brunel Business School, the Brunel Law School and the Department of Economics and Finance. Our students rely on the TPO as their first point of contact in relation to their academic studies.
Working within the TPO team in an open plan office environment, your main duties will involve:
- day to day maintenance of our student records
- dealing with student enquiries in person, live chat, over the phone and by email
- front reception duties on a rota basis
- processing student assessment and results
- inputting and manipulating large amounts of data
- preparing agendas, taking minutes and following up on actions
- working closely with academic staff at all levels to support teaching and learning
You will be expected to stay calm under pressure and to provide a friendly and professional welcome to our students and visitors. It is imperative that students are given the correct information and advice to their, sometimes very complex, enquiries so you will need to have the confidence to reach out to other members of the TPO for their help and support. We require excellent administrative, organisational and communication skills and for you to demonstrate the ability to use IT systems effectively, such as a student record system, eLearning portal, and experience of Microsoft packages.
You will be learning ‘on the job’ and will need to be able to use your initiative to help resolve problems.
You should have experience of working in a team and in a customer service environment.
