This is an office support position in the School of Public Health supporting the work of the WHO CC’s educational and research activities.
Duties and responsibilities
The post holder will work with the WHO CC team to support the organisation and delivery of the centres’ education and training activities, and academic exchange.
Essential requirements
To be successful you will need:
Proven experience of administrative work within an academic or NHS organization- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience of working in culturally diverse environments
- Ability to prioritise tasks and efficiently manage workload to meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively and flexibly with other members of the Department’s administrative team and with academic, teaching, computing and research staff
- Ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion
- Ability to pre-empt problems and deal with them effectively
- Proven skills at problem-solving and overcoming obstacles
- Ability to use own initiative and work independently and as part of a team, as required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to produce clear and concise written material
- Ability and willingness to adapt to changing timetables or work patterns as dictated by changing circumstances
- Excellent, proven interpersonal skills
- An open, flexible and positive approach to working in a constantly changing environment
Further information
This is a part-time (40% FTE, 2 days per week) and fixed term role until 28.02.24 in first instance with possibility of further extension. The post holder will be based at the Charing Cross campus (Hammersmith) with travel to other Imperial Campuses.
