Heritage Collections is looking for a Collections Care Technician for its expanding Conservation & Collections Management team.
The Opportunity:
The post holder will work alongside a team of skilled and experienced conservation and collections management professionals within a dynamic and supportive environment, to preserve and make accessible the University’s globally significant collections.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Proven skills and experience in the safe handling and movement of collections within a library/archive/museum/gal lery environment .
- Knowledge of collections care and documentation, and an understanding of collections -related best practice.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, including strong team - working skil ls .
- Ability to organise and deliver work within agreed timescales to a high level of accuracy .
- Flexible approach to changing tasks, work environment and approaches to working practice
