Test Analyst Job at ADLIB
- Growing tech company with a product that supports the Leisure, Tourism and Events industries.
- L&D encouraged with a generous individual training budget of £2.5k per year.
- Collaborative and friendly company culture and five-star Glassdoor reviews.
The UK tourism industry is estimated to be worth over £257 billion by 2025, accounting for just under 10% of UK GDP and supporting almost 3.8 million jobs. We’re working with a growing and award-winning tech company that has built a range of products such as online ticketing, till software, and employee scheduling, helping over 1,000 Leisure, Tourism, and Events businesses across the globe to thrive and be more efficient.
What skills and experience you’ll need:
- 2 years commercial experience in a QA/test role.
- Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience of SQL and scripting.
- Confident writing clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Previously worked in an Agile/Scrum development process.
Bonus points for…
- Any relevant professional certifications.
- A desire to utilise the company’s training budget to develop automated testing skills to help move the company in this direction.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be providing thorough quality assurance across a range of products from online ticketing, EPOS, and employee scheduling software, so you won’t be short on variety and can expect every day to be different.
Currently, the company’s QA process is entirely manual, so you don’t need previous automation experience (although it would be a bonus if you do!), but we are looking for someone who is keen to develop their skills to help move the company into automated testing down the line. Longer-term, there is also scope to shape the strategy of QA and to take a leading role and contribute your ideas.
You’ll be working alongside one other QA Analyst, testing the performance, functionality and usability of new features to identify bugs before release and prevent regressions in functionality due to the re-emergence of solved bugs. You’ll also monitor all stages of software development to identify, track and resolve system bugs and create detailed and clear test plans and test cases.
It’s a very collaborative team and you’ll regularly liaise with the wider tech team (developers and product) to identify system requirements. From time to time there will also be a requirement to support hardware testing, so you’ll be able to come into their Exeter office once in a while as required.
What you’ll get in return:
You’ll also receive a starting salary up to £35k and benefits including: an annual bonus scheme, a generous individual training budget of £2,500 per year to spend on courses or accreditations. There is a departmental activity budget to use towards socials and activities, as well as fully expensed company-wide outings and events. They also hold a monthly raffle with prizes.
You’ll join the team with 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and your birthday off, but this will increase by a day a year (up to 30 days) to reward long service, and they also offer loyalty bonuses at different work anniversaries. Every 5th anniversary you’ll also be rewarded with a fully paid weekend away!
