Location: Paisley Office (Hybrid role)
Contract: Permanent
35 hours per week Full-time
Salary: £25,357 per annum (plus a home working allowance of £300)
About the role
We have an immediate need for an experienced Trainer to support the SSC Training Team based in the British Red Cross shared service centre in the heart of Paisley.
The British Red Cross has on average 3,500 staff members and in excess of 30,000 volunteers. The Trainer will be working to deliver training and support across all of these groups as we advance our application developments and online access whilst ensuring that all our training is in line with the latest procedures, regulations and best practice and that any updates and changes are effectively integrated into our training delivery.
Reporting to the Training Manager, the Trainer will develop and deliver multi-skilled training programmes to our Service Users (including internal staff members, volunteers and other customers), using all of the latest technologies and methodologies including webex and e-learning. The Trainer will be required to support in developing and delivering a full training programme by designing materials and delivering training courses.
You will host and deliver necessary training courses to ensure knowledge of new systems, this will include training on the corporate Finance system, Human Resources Management system and diverse IT programmes. You will work with the Training Team to develop and deliver an induction programme to include all required systems and other training to be delivered to our staff or volunteers as required.
This role is full-time permanent and the core hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm flexible with occasional weekend working depending on the needs of the business.
About the person
With a recognised qualification in training and development or equivalent by experience, the successful candidate should have:
Experience in designing and delivering training using different learning methods.
Experience in carrying out effective training needs analysis and implementing relevant training intervention.
Experience in a training background
An ability to communicate clearly and think about how their communication impacts others
Knowledge of computerised systems
