Pay rate is £10.70 per hour (40 hours per week), night shift premium of £2.50 per hour plus 28 days holiday (including bank holidays), pension and Wincanton benefits.
Duties and responsibilities
- Accurately receive in deliveries of goods
- Accurately pick goods for transfer to other depots or customers
- Ensure location information is up to date and accurate when locating goods in the warehouse
- Carry out stock rotation activities
- Ensure sure paperwork is correctly filled out
- Sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves.
- Picking and labelling products correctly
- Carrying out spot checks and audits
- Auditing stock movements across warehouse and resolving any discrepancies.
- Collaboration with the wider team to continually improve ways of working & processes.
- Ensure all Legal, Health and Safety and Operational procedures are always adhered to ensure the safety of self and others.
- Report any injuries, accidents and any Health and Safety issues.
- Adhering to procedures and practises according to the training received.
- To participate and be involved in cultivating a culture of continuous improvement
Experience, skills and attributes:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- Experience in warehouse / stock administration is essential.
- Results orientated and can work to schedules
- “Hands on” approach to problem solving
- Able to lift and handle goods
- Good degree of literacy and numeracy
- Understands the basics of Health and Safety procedures
- Good communication skills and time management
- Customer service skills
