Cogent staffing are recruiting for our Widnes based client for a Weighbridge Operator on a temporary to permanent basis.
Successful individuals will be offered a permanent role after 12 qualifying weeks.
Shift/salary:
- Monday to Friday
- 07:00-17:00
- 60 mins unpaid break per day
- 45 hours per week
- Saturday mornings on a rota basis
- £26,900 salary
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Direct traffic coming onto site and operate weighbridge
- Check incoming loads, ensuring compliance with site licence and permitted waste types.
- Accurately record data such as weights & waste type by vehicle
- Correctly completing relevant paperwork & documentation
- Dealing with both inbound and outbound vehicles
- Maintain relationships and deal with queries from customers and site visitors.
- Report any anomalies/errors to the weighbridge system to the appropriate people immediately.
- Ensure the site diary for materials is kept up to date.
- Assist with general admin duties, customer service, answering telephone and directing calls as appropriate.
- Use of Weighman System

- Previous weighbridge experience
- Happy to commute to Widnes WA8
- Flexible on working hours
