We are seeking hardworking, organised and reliable individuals to assist the Biomedical Scientists in the day to day tasks of the Haematology and Blood Transfusion Departments within the Trust.
University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust is one of the largest acute hospital Trusts in England serving the populations of Birmingham and Solihull. The Trust is composed of four main hospital sites; Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEHB), Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital and Solihull Hospital (HGS). The post-holder will be required to work at the HGS laboratories or QEHB initially, but may be required to work at any site within the Trust.
Candidates must be educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent and be able to work under their own initiative as well as performing supervised tasks in a team environment.
No experience is required as full training will be given, however previous laboratory experience will be an advantage.
We are UKAS accredited to ISO 15189 standards, MHRA approved and IBMS accredited for training, and we support Continuous Professional Development.
