We are investing in various areas of the business including our IT division. Over the next 12 months, there will be various strategic implementations and projects put in place in order to get better infrastructure. As such you, as our IT Systems Manager, will be heavily involved in these projects and transitions.

Being part of our small IT team, you will be one of our subject matter experts and will be very much onsite hands-on based. Reporting to our Group IT Manager, you will be involved in the day-to-day reactive onsite support issues for users and your expertise will be invaluable in a strategic implementation where you will be supporting larger projects, involving upgrades and changes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Being the IT Systems Manager, you’ll be based in Wrexham and traveling between our local sites. You will be working autonomously, within our close-knit team. You will be busy being hands-on with day-to-day reactive issues as well as being involved in various IT projects including administering and improving existing technology and processes such as Capacity Management, Network equipment and Phone systems.

Other duties will include but not be limited to:

• Supervising daily operations of network, server infrastructure and manage maintenance schedules
• Administration and management of IT systems, including backup, business applications, Microsoft 365, email, and security-related applications.
• Assist in IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity processes
• 2nd and 3rd line support for escalation of tier 1 support issues
• Analyse existing infrastructure and improve administration and monitoring and automation
• Plan, strategise and implement action to meet specific system requirements
• LAN and WAN management and administration

You will be able to work on day-to-day reactive issues and with your knowledge and expertise, with support where needed, you will be comfortable in implementing and putting processes in place.

You will have experience in:

Essential:

• Microsoft Server - 2008 R2 up to 2019
• Microsoft Active Directory
• AV
• Microsoft O365 and Exchange
• Microsoft SQL server
• Driving License

Desirable:

• Backup and DR
• Virtualisation – VMWare and Hyper-V
