Founded in 1998, we’ve built an incredible team, who are passionate about developing the most amazing products in the Observability / Application Performance Monitoring (APM) space. The majority of our customers are located in North America. The company is headquartered in Böblingen, close to Stuttgart, Germany. Company “language” is English and we have employees located in Germany and the UK. Since the pandemic, we have chosen to work fully remote.

FusionReactor is a developer-focused observability and application monitoring solution. What you will be working on

Bringing our documentation to life. We want our technical documentation to become a core component of the product experience. We want you to help our users better understand our platform, from successful onboarding to becoming a successful power user. The amazing documentation you write, will compliment the amazing software that our engineers write.

You will have full responsibility and ownership for all of our customer facing documentation. If that sounds as exciting to you then let's talk!

Location

• This position is open for people who are eligible to work anywhere in the United Kingdom and/or Germany

Roles and Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and architect our docs in English language.
• Understand our users and emphasize in what they're trying to achieve with our products.
• Turn technospeak into language anyone can understand and follow
• See the value in our products, not just the features and create documentation that presents that value in a way which shows off the benefits, without missing the features
• Clarify complexity. Bring order out of chaos with a solid understanding of information hierarchies and content strategy.
• You take pride in your work and hold everything you do to high standards of quality.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience as a technical writer for a software company.
• Amazing technical writing skills, which enable you to cut through jargon and present a complex concept in a simple manner, so that the meaning is clear.
• An authority at organizing information in an easy-to-understand hierarchy who can transform the most complex ideas into simple ones.
• Project management experience within large writing projects
• Experience working with software developers (FusionReactor is built by software developers for software developers).
• Experience with Git/GitHub.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of the observability / APM industry
• Any familiarity with tools like Kubernetes or AWS
