Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin’s attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for a Trainee Data Developer to join our IT team. This role will be based at our Madame Tussauds London office.

This role reports into the Data and Integrations Product Owner on a 24-month apprenticeship. The qualification gained at the end of this will be bespoke training via QA. The starting salary is £25,000 per year, which will increase in increments every 6 months, up to £34,000 per year.

About the Role...

As an Apprentice Data Developer, you will be integral to providing business insight and data solutions;

• Business requirements gathering
  
• Translate business requirements to technical specifications
  
• Develop data and integration solutions
  
• Cloud Computing using Microsoft Azure technology
  
• Coding (SQL, Python, with options to develop skills in C#)
  
• Develop Business Intelligence solutions using Power BI for visualisation
  
• Test data and integrations solutions
  
• Produce technical documentation
  
• BAU support

About You...

• You will have a passion for data and analytics
  
• Be a keen learner of new technology
  
• Have a good understanding of programming concepts
  
• Have some experience in data related activities
  
• Can demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of databases and SQL
  
• You will be proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  
• You have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  
• You can show exceptional attention to detail
  
• You are able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  
• You will be great a problem solving and have a critical thinking approach
  
• You will have an IT-related degree, OR;
  
• A levels, ideally to include at least 1 in Computer Science (A*-B) and other relevant STEM subjects, OR;
  
• Considerable experience in a relevant role
