An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Diverse Abilities Healthcare and Therapy team, who provide nursing and therapy support to children, young people and adults with physical and learning disabilities across East Dorset.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic occupational therapist to join our skilled multidisciplinary therapy team based at Linwood school. As part of the OT team, the post holder will be responsible for delivering occupational therapy assessment and interventions to children, across all campuses, with a variety of developmental disorders and sensory challenges. You will work with the school team, other professionals to provide an excellent quality of care and to act as a source of information, support, and advice.
An important aspect of the post will be assisting in the delivery a rolling OT training programme across the school.
Ideally you will have experience of working with children either in a special school or within paediatric occupational therapy setting, additional qualifications within sensory integration and experience of training would be an advantage. You must be a car driver and be prepared to undertake some travel between school campuses as part of your work.
The post will be supervised by the lead occupational therapist at Langside School. This post offers a great opportunity to work in an integrated team, developing services for children with physical and learning difficulties.
