Our client is looking for a locum 5 Occupational Therapist to join the Elderly Care mental health team at a well-established NHS trust based in London. The post is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time from 09:00-17:00.

The successful Occupational therapist will lead the Older People's Community Occupational Therapy service and Occupational Therapy team. Provide expert OT advice to CMHT, Manage difficult clinical situations.

Therapists applying for this role must have the following:

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
• A relevant degree/qualification in Occupational Therapy
• Knowledge of specialist equipment
• Experience working within a similar NHS setting
• Good communication skills
• The ability to think outside the box
• Full vaccination against COVID-19

Duties within this role will include:

• Managing a clinical caseload
• Writing accurate and detailed reports on patient progress
• Working as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Discharge planning
• Assessments and provision of hoists and slings
• Devising care plans with family members and carers
• Develop rehabilitation programs to help rebuild lost skills and restore lost confidence
